Nokia wont connect via Irda
 

I bought a Irda cable some time ago for my 6100.

Ive been trying to get it to connect to my pc using Nokia suite 5.1, but it wont have none of it.
Ive tried it on my gf's pc and the same happens.

Using the suite, you open the connection manager and click the irda button, but nothing and the irda times out on the phone.

The lead is a usb to Irda silver thing. Ive tried different drivers and still nothing.
The phones ok as it sent a card to another nokia.

anyone throw any help this way please

I had the same problem when i first got my 7650.

you'll need to go to www.mobileaction.com and download the "MA" driver for your phone

just tried that, nope.
Im sure it hates me.
Well ive done what ive done before, given up and thrown it in a draw for another few months.

I had exactly the same probs with a new nokia 6100 .. to solve it I installed the software for there cable (DKU-5) , then installed the Nokia Suite but only selected the driver for the phone modem and NOTHING ELSE....

if this fails you can also try uninstalling the Nokia suite and adding the modem manually ... the system should still have a driver for your phone after the first install of the nokia suite.
