Cheers Andy. I'd already looked there but couldn't see anybody in the NW.
The mechanic who works on my scoob is trying to get the kit but isnt keen to give EcuTek a copy of his customer database. Cant blame him really.
I've already had an EcuTek remap but am about to fit a bigger turbo and injectors and dont fancy driving a couple of hundred miles to get it adjusted.

"but isnt keen to give EcuTek a copy of his customer database"

What does this mean?

EcuTek want a copy of his customer database so they can check he's authentic, I suppose. They wont sell the software to just anybody.

I picked the person who I thought would do the best EcuTeK job, got up a three in the morning, and drove to Swindon from Carlisle to have mine maped by "guru" Bob Rawle. It was only half a day out of my like but IMHO well worth the trip.

Andy. No he hasnt remap my car, he doesnt have the EcuTek mapping software etc. He wants to be able to do EcuTek remaps but is unwilling to give out his customer database to do it. EcuTek have asked to see his customer database before they will sell to him. My EcuTek remap was originally done at ScoobySport.

Shaun. I agree, I drove over 250 miles to get mine done at ScoobySport, along with an exhaust. I have no problems with the remap, car is superb as confirmed by the rr printout from a couple of weeks ago at Engine Advantage. I just dont fancy driving that distance with bigger injectors fitted but not mapped. Not good for the bores, to say nothing of the petrol consumption! I do fancy getting Bob to do the next remap, reading alot of good reports on here about his work. Hi Bob :D

Looks like I'll have to only fit the turbo and then get the injectors fitted at the same time as the remap.

I had the turbo / injectors/ fuel pump and regulator fitted the day before driving down to Bob's. On light throttle and off boost (lambda closed loop) the ECU sould be able to cope although idle was a little rough. I gather lots of people have kit fitted and drive like a Nissan Micra down to their favourite mappers !!

Mark, im curious as to why they want to see his customer database, its surely irrelevant to Ecutek who his customers are?
