When fitting 4-pots, should the bleed nipple be above the hose entry? I didn't remove them and they dont appear to be marked N/S or O/S.

Thanks
Phil.

Thanks Dave,

I've jumped the gun and already swapped them around (yes, i had them the wrong way!)
Only took 5 mins to re-bleed the system, and the pedal is perfect.

Its a shame i didnt find this when searching before i started the job, could have saved me a few days.

Now for the testing..... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Hi Phil

My brake lines (from MY00) had a lug that fitted into a drilled hole in the back of the 4 pot caliper next to where the hose bolts on so the calipers would only fit one way.

It sounds like the braided hoses do not have this lug.

I think the lug is there to cover the possibility of stones etc hitting the brake line and knocking it loose.I don't suppose there is much chance of this happening but it seems strange that the braided hoses may not have them.

Ps this only applies to the 4 pot calipers

Does anybody have braided hoses with lugs?

Andy
