Britains worst buildings

Driving from South to North Wales today I was admiring the stunning scenery.

The snow capped mountains of Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons, crystal clear rivers, fantastic views from Llwyn Clywedog reservoirs, the baby lambs bouncing around in the fields.

Then I came across this:

How the hell did they get planning permission to build these two concrete monstrosities in such a beautiful scenic area.

Easy... it was a nuke plant. They turn uranium into plutonium. Plutonium can be used to make a big bang.

The British government at the time was very keen to make as much plutonium as possible. Planning was a minor concern compared to this.

A minor side effect of the process is that heat is produced, which can be used to generate steam, steam turns a turbine, and electricity is generated.

Sorry to gatecrash the tread!!!!

D6ale, see you've fitted the front lip I sold you last year. You we're behind me on the A34 slip road on Friday. Looks like you just need the bonnet scoop now?

Pitch black,

yeah i fited it last summer. looks great i think. got a nasty stone chip on it now though, need to touch it up.

i didnt see you, unless you were driving a blue type R ?

i have a turbo bonnet, but it's a bit dented. trying to see if it is recoverable. only cost me £30 and it's an alloy one. so if it's not recoverable it's not going to be a great loss!

They used to pump the (nuclear indirect) coolant water into the lake, via a trout farm! The warm water helped the fish grow (although i don't know how many eyes they had ;) ).

I guess that Dounray, Windscale and Wylfa etc. used to be nice places once n'all
