Spoilt my 100% record.

Cancel your own account and get a new one - it remembers your computer IP address if you have cookies so delete them too.

You do not have much feedback to keep anyway, so do that.

You can now mutually withdraw feedback - try that.

Brian.

ive had 2 or 3, one for a model that got damaged in the post but the buyer didnt pay for insurance, another model that went missing but again no insurance and the third because i put neg feed back about a non payer, brought my feedback down to 98.something, didnt bother me, didnt see why i should give money back when someone wouldnt take out insurance

I never left him any.

I'd leave it, you've replied with your reason for the negative feedback, so I can't see it mattering that much

paulr 20 March 2004 04:49 PM

Thanks...i'm tempted to leave it tbh.

i got negative feedback from some pr!ck because I didn't send him his goods quick enough. He posted the feedback before he posted his cheque !!

Basically eBay has it's fair share of ar5eholes, just grin and bear it.

why not? if you feel he didnt keep his end of the bargain, leave him negative feedback too. thats the whole point of it :)

paulr 23 March 2004 09:28 PM

Its now too late Milo.

As everyone seems to think its not too bad i'll keep it.At least people can see i've had an account for a few years now.
Some people are just too quick to give bad feedback.

andypugh2000 23 March 2004 09:45 PM

I would stick with it and be honest and let people decide for themselves if you are good or bad, i have one negative for 45 transactions from a bloke who retaliated to me leaving negative for him as he couldn't take the critcism ;)

GaryK 24 March 2004 08:27 AM

In certain circumstances you can get it removed. I had a non paying bidder who decided to just leave neg feedback for me for the hell of it, as time passed it galled me as it showed his negative feedback but then next to his handle showed 'Not a registered user' so I wrote to ebay and they got it removed!

Gary

Rating 71 - 100% o yes ;)

paulr 24 March 2004 11:59 AM

Gary..i thought you couldnt get it removed?

john banks 24 March 2004 01:49 PM

I left negative after no response re a dead laptop battery. He retaliated and left me negative as well.

Avoided leaving negative on a £90 phone described as mint and hardly used by getting a new cover for it - the cover was very marked that came with it.

GaryK 24 March 2004 02:19 PM

Paul,

Well normally you cant but in this case I asked and they delivered! They do assess each case on its own merit.

Gary
