Where is the Password List stored
 

We have a user that has changed laptops, he used to visit a lot of websites that required logon details which he clicked to save and remember. Of course on his new laptop it doesn't know these details. So where on his old laptop would these details be stored, i thought it was cookies so i copied these over but that didn't work. I know he should make things easy and remember his passwords but he doesn't.

All passwords ARE held in the cookies, have you copied all of them?

I copied the whole cookie directory under his user name into the same location on his new machine. As a test i moved all the cookie files from the machine that remembers his password, went back to a website and it still brought up his username and password (as through the cookies had nothing to do with it)

To clarify the user name and password box that appears is not built into the website it is the windows username and password box that pops out with site and realm on it
