Blocking access to websites

Morning everyone,

Over recent months a certain not so pc literate user in our house seems to be the constant victim of spyware/search bars/browser hijacks and no matter how strongly i stress that they need to be careful which sites they are visiting and exactly what they are clicking "yes" for their pc still ends up loaded with spyware.

Now the http connections for this machine already run through a proxy hosted on a spare machine elsewhere in the house for monitoring purposes but is there some sort of software i can install at proxy level to block a defined list of no-go sites?

Cheers

David

Edited to say: Oh and as always free is preferable :D
