Goin go thave to replace the discs and pads on my MY97 Turbo in the next week or two.

How easy is this as a DIY job? I've done this job numerous times on my previous cars and not encountered any problems. Anything particular to Scoobs that I should look out for? Any extra bits need replacing at the same time?

Cheers.

Andrew.

Andrew, if you've done it before on other cars you won't struggle.

Andrew

Time-wise, my dealer took almost two hours to change both front discs.

2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can remove and replace all the pads and discs from both ends of the car in much less time than that! (and the rears are more fiddly than the front) Its no more than 40 minutes to do both front discs.

Remove the wheel, undo the bottom bolt on the caliper, slide caliper off, remove two bolts on caliper holder, remove disc, clean mounting surface, replace new disc and caliper holder, clean caliper and push pistons back in, copper ease on back of pads, fit shims, fit pads, slide caliper back on, tighten lower bolt, press brake pedal to check brakes working, replace wheel.

<daft question>
No bleeding involved I presume?

Yes,

First time I did it I was interrupted as I was removing the calliper and it swung down and crushed my finger!!!!!!!!!

(But no no bleeding is needed - although I have heard it said that pushing the pistons back in can damage the ABS (any car not just scoobies) and so the bleed nipple should be opened for this, but I feel that this is ABS - All Bull S**t)
