I noticed from the Demon Tweeks catalogue that Pagid make brake discs as well as pads. Given that the Pagid Blue pads seem to have a very good reputation has anyone tried the discs as well. I am using all standard MY99 setup at the moment and am looking to make improvements without spending a fortune.

Without meaning to further prattle on...
I have MY99, have uprated brakes with Mintex 1155s (£60/pair) and Bremsport Grooved Discs (£106/pair). Stopping power is now nothing short of awesome, and is enough to give a split second headache on full (warmed) pelt!! |
Thanks GaryC I have seen your posts and are certainly considering the setup that you have. Would you say that your initial bite and brake feel/modulation have improved as well as stopping power? I find the standard setup a bit on the soft side on initial application of pedal and would like to improve that the most.
Do you have braided lines as well http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif Gary, any chance you could go the whole hog and post the part number for the discs if you have it. Thanks Brendan [This message has been edited by BHORT (edited 20-05-2000).] |
No real change in brake feel, but am getting brake bracket fitted to combat that. Am still running normal lines too, although may go metal/braided when get BSB done!
TAS Catalogue no. - 4681. Having got invoice out for number have also noted I misquoted the price they were £113.16 not £106 - sorry http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif Still more than worth it though http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif |
