Inlet manifold query

Is there any difference between a STi and a WRX inlet manifold apart from the colour?

cheers

Assuming you're talking about two cars of the same model year, no, there's no difference apart from the colour.

If though you compared, for example, an MY97 WRX and an STi5, there obviously would be a difference, as you're comparing phase 1 and phase 2 engines. New Age cars have different shape manifold again.

Yeah sorry forgot to put is there a difference between a MY99 STi and a MY99 WRX

The STi will have 440 injectors (yellow) Was the WRX phase 2 380cc? Otherwise as you correctly say, apart from the red crackle paint (must be worth 60 bhp down the pub) they are the same.

I'd guess that the MY99-00 WRXes have 440cc injectors Harvey. Phase 2 UK cars have 440's, so it's a little illogical to think that the JDM equivalent has smaller squirters.

As above Dave, MY99 WRX and MY99 STi manifolds will be the same part, bar the colour.

Thats ok then. Thanx chaps.

I am stickin a STi bottom end and heads in mine so i might as well use my inlet manifold off the Knackered WRX engine and maybe paint it red for the extra 60 BHP ;)
