just got a set of speedline 17 wheels and am arranging powercoating & repair as rims kerbed quite a lot.
colour choice? car is red do I go for subaru gold or graphite (good brake dust hider)? any comments or other colours? wheels going in tomorrow. simon |
Graphite would look awesome on your car. IMHO, gold will not suit it.
Good luck! |
Agree with Sunil, graphite would suit your car better than gold would.

What with the new rally car running with graphite wheels ,won't everyone with gold oneS (myself inc) change or wish they had??
I.S |
Simon,
I have the same wheels and I was going to go for graphite, on my green car. But to stop the colour from being too popular, I think you should go for gold!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Only kidding, I think graphite is the colour that will go well with your car! Andy |
Ian, my secret mission is to get everyone with a non dbm car to paint their wheels graphite and then us gold/dbm owners will be unique again!

graphite it is!
gold was always my 2nd choice but nice to get other thoughts/advice (special thanks to andy for trying to keep the graphite colour exclusive.) simon |
http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gifi think dayglow yellow would look cool http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I've got gold technomagnesio sports on my RED 93 WRX. Looks great IMHO, but then i'm slightly biased aren't I? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
|
I'm sorry, but I think graphite wheels would look pants on a red car!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif
But as I've yet to see it I guess I'll keep the jury out. Can't someone superimpose them over an image of a red car for us all to laug...I mean look at? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Stef. [This message has been edited by Stef (edited 18-03-2000).] |
I saw a red Impreza with gold alloys in Enfield a couple of days ago and it really looked the business. I think you'll be happy with either as both will look better than the standard fellas
Allan |
Gold is cool with red, but then I'm just a teeeensy bit biased. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
Mick |
why not graphite on side and gold the other then you'll have the best of both worlds!
|
Simon
Gold ! John p.s. my 5yr old son now has unsurpassable cred since his dad got "gold wheels for his Scooby" (Scoob meant it was pretty high already) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif |
