Web server problem
Well, perhaps not the web server.
I used to host a site on my local server. It is now elsewhere. No problem so far. But. I can't access the site anymore from any of my local machines because they all think it's hosted locally (ie on my web server here). So how do I explain to my stupid boxes that the site now lives ona completely different IP address to the one they are looking for? It's accessible everywhere else so I know that DNS has been propogated properly through the web... Web server is Windoze2K server/IIS. It also acts as my proxy server, firewall and connection point using ICS. Client machines are PCs running XP, ME and 98 and a Mac running OS10.3 but I don't think the issue lies with them. I have connected through another machine at a different location which uses the same ISP so I'm confident the problem is at my end. Any suggestions? SB |

Do you run internal DNS, where you have used the same domain name? J |
