UK300 - questions

questions for anyone with a UK300.

Do they have a six speed gear box?
What is the standard bhp and what is the PPP increase in bhp?
Brembo brakes?
HID headlights?
Rev warning light and buzzer?
Quickshift gear change?

any answers much appreciated.

[looking to purchase, so I'm trying to compare with my JDM sti v7]

AFAIK only cosmetic changes over the bug eye of the time. Therefore standard power is 215 bhp and PPP power is 245, IIRC.

Chelspeed 08 March 2004 09:35 AM

No, standard 5 speed
218 bhp with the option of an engine pack that took it to 245bhp, this later became the MY01 PPP when fitted to other non UK300 MY01 cars, exhaust mods, piggyback ECU mods, some intercooler pipe mods.
No brembos, 4 pot and 2 pot standard WRX brakes
Morettes with conventional blubs
No shift light
Not sure about quickshift

They aren't morettes, they are Hella conversions
No quick shift as standard
I think your right with everything else though

Chelspeed 08 March 2004 03:17 PM

Close then. Obviously morettes has now entered the language like hoover, anything with 2 small round lights in place of one big ugly one is a morette, even when made by hella!!

Thank-you all for clarifying the differences. Infact there is no real comparison.

I think I'll go for another sti v7...

thanks again

Yeah - the UK 300 lights are the Prodrive ones. Standard power output is 215bhp - not 218. It's 218 PS though (PS being 'metric horsepower').
