What would happen if...
I fitted a scoobysport backbox to my standard MY02 Euro STi
JUST the backbox, absolutly nothing else. I'm after a better sound. I've heard rumours that even to do this I should have my ecu remapped, is this the case, or can I literally bolt the exhaust on, and not have a worry in the world? Last thing I want is a load of boost spikes, and long term problems. Cheers Steve http://www.sti7.net |

I'm certainly not an expert but I doubt that you would need a re-map from just fitting a backbox.
I think boost spiking problems with STI's were down to full de-cats (and the problem could be easily fixed). No doubt someone will be along to give a more definitive answer shortly :) Chris |
