Interior and exterior lights 'flickering'
 

i have a peugeot 205 S**t-box for going to work in and have noticed that the headlights and the instrument cluster lights have started flickering quite noticeably. Can anyone throw some 'light' on where to start fault finding please? dodgy earth somewhere? battery? alternator?(although battery light isn`t coming on when engine running, so i dont thinks its alternator)

Probably an "earth problem", happens a lot with those frenchies...
Start with the -bat, then the connectors between engine bay and interior, then the dashboard earths...

i had this with my old 309 gti - it was the alternator.

Bugger! cheers lads :D

the battery connections on the 309 was a bugger for getting caked up in white powdery cack - which kept triggering the alarm if not cleaned off regulalry. I had the same symptoms as you, but then it sorted itself, until the alternator died 2 days later...
