Has anyone tried this? How did they turn out? Any hints or tips would be greatfully received. Thanks.

I've painted my ones red (the calipers that is) unitl I get my Brembos http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif They were really naff looking because the car was standing for ages after it's trip from Japan. Also the rotors were all rusty. I painted the rotors black with Hammerite smooth.

I got the caliper kit from Motorworld which was a 2 tin pack and a spray cleaner. Use a wirebrush first to remove all loose stuff then use the cleaner spray to get rid of brake dust. Mix the two pots together really well, then leave for 20 mins to cure. Dont rush this curing time otherwise the paint will be patchy and might run!! It's qite a fiddly job to paint on without taking calipers apart. Took me around 30 mins per corner. I used a trolley jack to lift up the car, but soon wished I had some axle stands or even better a hydraulic lift. With a lift you could whizz around the car in no time.

After painting they will become covered in brake dust after a while, just use some diluted alloy wheel cleaner and a brush.

Good luck!!

Gethin.
