What's a Low Mileage, S reg Terzo Worth ?
I'm trying to sell my Terzo (http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=302872) Spec is as follows :
No 208/333 Full Service History (Not Subaru) 2 new tyres. Other 2 have about 3000 miles left on them. Only 39000 miles on an "S" reg. Standard apart from K & N, WRC Replica Spoiler and dump valve. All can be taken off, and the original spoiler put back on if desired... 6 Disc Panasonic Multichanger. In very good condition, slight scratch on rear bumper and drivers door. Looking for £10,500 o.n.o Am I asking too much for it ? I thought it seemed a reasonable price but don't seem to be getting much response in the for sale section  Ta Matt |
Matt,
Nick has had a full engine re-build and is looking or more than that for his. You just need the right buyer. Nearly all the Terzo's for sale on SN have been around that price. Depends how long you can wait. Good Luck Jewels |
Looking around, this seems to be the current market value for a car of this spec. Not bad for a car that would have cost ~24K six years ago. Scary isn't it?

Jewels,
Thanks for the reply, who is nick ? Is his car for sale on scoobynet ? Matt |

Terzo 333,
Ive only got 29k on my 98 R reg, and had some silly offers for it... |
BAH, what has been the best offer you've had ? If I put it in the autotrader next week, what do you think I should put it in at ?

Never understood why the McRae/Terzo/RB5 have this perceived higher value than the std car....
In the case of the McRae & Terzo, I thought that mechanically they're the same, with just higher spec interior, non-std paint code, perhaps wheels an inch bigger, perhaps in gold - but NOTHING that couldn't be done aftermarket. The RB5 is the same as a MY99 - there is also the Prodrive RB5, but again, fit a Prodrive kit to a MY99 and you have the same car. OK, nicer interior in alcantara, and unique paintcode and wheels, oh, and a fixed rear bulkhead which means no ski-hatch, but not worth ANYTHING near as much as some people think they are IMHO. Of course, if people are paying over inflated prices for these models, then so be it, but I do not think it is value for money. Seen some RB5's advertised for well over £15k - NUTS! You can pick up std MY99s for half that! Same car in essence. |
Imlach, the Terzo came in Sonic Blue - a colour you couldn't get on a standard uk car at the time - worth a lot to many people I wouuld have thought

I suppose people just want a bit of "history". Its nice to say "there's only 333 of my car" or "555" for example.
If someone wants a classic in Sonic Blue they would be limited to getting an import or a Terzo... |
