Hi,

Does anyone out there have a set of these? I was told by Elite just now that they aren’t available in a suitable fitting, but (1) I’ve seen cars wearing them and (2) I was told previously that they were available (when I was first looking at 17” rims about a year ago). This is in 17x7 size, BTW
Any info gratefully received

Mike.

I have OZ Polaris' on my car 93MY in 17" with 215x40 Fulda Extremos and they look great.

The ET is 48 and they do fit OK. I believe from memory that the suppliers were based in Macclesfield or up that way somewhere, if you are struggling let me know and I'll see if I can track them down.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply (how fitting that I should be asking you about 17" rims!)

Two quick questions:

1) Did they have to do any machining or did the wheels fit as-is?

2) When did you get them?

TIA

Mike.

I don't mind helping now you are on the right track. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

This is an extract from a post I made just prior to buying my ca which already had them fitted.

>I have spoken to the current owner who tells me that the wheels were supplied by 'Motorsport wheels' in Stockport.

Called them direct, and although the guy I spoke to seemed to know the particular wheel he was unsure of the exact offset measurement for the wheel (<I>it was ET48mm</I>).

The wheels allegedly were made in a batch of about 400 sets all supplied direct to themselves especially designed for the impreza Turbo by OZ. They come to them marked on the box as IMPREZA TURBO.<

I am not sure about the quantity thing, I suspect that may have been the case originally but they are readily available from most decent wheel suppliers.

Hope that helped.

I am on record as preferring the Khan RSR over the OZ Polaris, though I daren't check to see if they will fit because I could do without another car bill at the moment. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Thanks Mike. Maybe if you get the Khan's I could buy your old OZs off you? Just a thought...

Hi guys...

Give Dave Wood (Manager at the Derby Subaru dealership - Beechdale) a call.

He has been fitting the OZ's to several of the Scoobs, including their demo impreza. I believe he knows a cheap supplier. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Mention my name...
