I got my green MY-99 3month ago. Since I am living in a country where it can be a lot of snow I bought OZ Superturisimo gould rims for the summer and I will use the original rims for the winter. On the OZ I have Michlin 215/45-17 tyres and it fits and looks very good. But why do nearly everybody use 215/40-17? I know the 215/45 have a bigger diameter but do I feel it in acceleration and handling of the car?

Hi Rune,

I suppose you might feel a small difference in the acceleration (the rolling circumference is 3.6% longer with the 45s) but the main difference will be in handling sharpness vs. ride quality. You've about another cm of sidewall height with the 45-profile tyres, so they'll absorb bumps better but won't turn in as sharply or feel as precise in the steering department.
