Mudflap Help!!!!!!!

I’m going to get some mudflaps but I would like to know if you need to drill the wing, some people seem to recon you do other’s say you don’t.

Can anyone give a definitive answer?

You do need to drill but it is not the wing, once you drill the hole make sure and paint it with a black primer etc and waxoil.

if they are the STI items you do need to drill one hole for each flap

TSL Flaps need 2 holes per front side. These are in the lower part of the wheel arch, inbound, to support the inner part of the bracket and flap - no problem to do though...

M8 if they are the Scott Lowe flaps then you do not drill the wing...
They are fixed in the esiting holes where the black plastic is on the wing, you remove the plasitc clips and add nut and bolt through the existing holes. They are drilled into the inerbody work at the back of the arch.. SEE THE PIC... the holes to drill are behind the wheel in the shot! the other nuts you can see are all existing...

hope this helps...:)

ive just fitted some prodrive mud flaps to my sti v7 and DIDNT need to drill anything just fitted into the holes that were already there and used a nice piece of stainless steel (which came with them) to keep them nice and steady

quality items and easy to fit.........apart from

A----getting silicone everywhere while trying to hold the plastic clips on with

B-- needing six hands when i only have one and a half

C--- losing a clip behind the wheel arch cover........... grrrrrrr

D---- freezing my ass off outside because i couldnt be bothered to clean the garage out

E---- AND WORST OF ALL............. BREAKING TWO YES TWO NAILS!!!!!!!!!!

LOL ..... the joy of scoob modding...
