03 STi Drive Shaft Seal leaks..

I allways think it's a good idea when people report problems with cars on here, particularly new ones... so here's my first problem with the STi so far.

I found a little patch of oil on the garage floor this morning under the back of the car. Pictures show what I saw. I've taken it straight to a dealer, and they say that the seal on that side has gone. They also said that it would be ok to drive until Tuesday, when the part comes in for replacement, but a second opinion on that is allways welcome.

Anyone know what the life expectancy on these should be normally? The car is 1 year and approx 13,500 miles old at the end of this month.

Side on...

From the bottom looking up, left hand side of the car is to the top, back of car to the right...
