MY98 MAF sensor part number

Sorry to post another MAF sensor question, but does anyone have the part number for an MY98 MAF sensor to go on a non-STi WRX RA? Where can I order one from?

Part No for a 98 type R is 22680AA271 which I assume will be the same for your car, expensive though, I bought one from a local dealer for £230 plus vat :(

Part No. for a UK MY97/98 is 2268AA280
but it sounds like you may need a different one.

Thanks chaps - quite confusing. I'll read off the part number tonight.

Tempted to buy GEMS / Motec and map by MAP which would remove this headache. (And no doubt incur another :))

nescoob1, I assume you had to replace it after a failure? What happened leading up to the failure? Was it not possible to clean/repair it?

Interested

Cheers

Scoobydoo, yes I had to replace it due to last one failing, tried to clean it but with no joy, car was hunting the revs while idling and the knock link was lighting up the second green light which it never did before. Cost £230 plus vat to replace. Oh and the replacement has a fault with it so thats going back tomorrow to be replaced. :(

Id double check out the price mate at subaru! Not sure on the part no. but you should be able to buy just the insert & not the complete unit. I bought one for mine around 3 weeks ago & it cost me £70 inc vat

Are you sure your MAF is gone?
