Boost Advice

Finally got my boost gauge connected up last night and took the motor out for a spin today...

Its reading -13/15 psi when off boost and when at peak boost its reading 10psi...

Compared to info in other threads these figures seem low to me...
The car has a full decat,VF22 turbo and FMIC.

The boost doesn't rise above zero until 3-3.5k revs...

Any ideas why the boost is so low?

Thanks

Franko

If you T'd into the pipe connected directly to the actuator, you will only be reading the actuator cracking pressure and not the actual boost pressure.

Scott T, thanks for your reply

I T'd into the pipe that comes off the inlet manifold... would this be correct?

Thanks

Franko

Try it in the pipe controling the BOV.

Sorry for the off topic Franko, but.. do you still have any pics of your knocklink install and what extra bits you had to buy to make it fit? I cant find them anymore because the search function is shagged

I've just ordered a knocklink, and like you, I dont want a big ugly box in the car.

If you need to see where to T your boost gauge from, just give me a shout and I'll come & show you where mine is fitted.

Regards

Phil
