I have driven a Prodrive car and I was really impressed with the suspension, and I want my car to handle just the same. I’m going to get the suspension done but 17 inch wheels from Prodrive look expensive. Does the weight of wheels vary much and will anything else be different if I go for a different wheel? I’ve read somewhere on a link that you have to have the right offset – what should this be?

Tommy,

which car do you have ?

It makes a difference to which wheels will fit. STi's and 99MY cars have 4 pot calipers which means many wheels won't fit correctly.

There was a good description of offset in an earlier thread - simply use the search facility of the BBS to find it.

The Prodrive Speedline wheels aren't that much more expensive than others out there. You can get ones from about 110+VAT, up to 200+VAT (or more) each. The Speedlines at 150+VAT each are more or less mid range price wise.

I've got a 99my. Thanks - I did the search and came up with the 53mm offest - do you know if the new Speedlines are 53mm?
