boost presure?
 
hi all,
i know this question has probably been up numerous times before, but could someone please tell me what boost i should be getting on a 93 jdm wrx?

Ive got an my93wrx, and prior to me fitting a manual boost controller, mine was peak boost at 0.8bar, and holding at 0.75bar.

my93 wrx when it was standard was 0.8 bar

thanks all. mine is peaking at 0.8 bar. thought i would ask as i also thought it should have been nearer the 1.0 bar mark.

11.47psi for all Pre Sept 1994, which were 240PS
12.7psi for post Sept 1994, which were 260PS

Scott I have a MY97 and for some reason I thought it should be 14.6 psi mine peaks a little over this at 15 psi

I'm not sure what an MY97/98 boost to, but the AE801 in an MY99 peaks at 13.64psi in the ECU map. I suspect the MY97/98 is similar as it uses the same Turbo.

Just to jump in on this thread.... Does anyone know if the overboost cutout's the same on the pre and post Sept. 1994.,

I'm temporarily running a later ECU with the rest of the electronics as pre '94. with huge overboost problems in the higher gears - Apexi AVC-R not quick enough to catch it even though set at .80 for 4th and 5th :(
