laser diffuser heads - best location ??

Have just purchased a blinder laser diffuser for my wifes car ( "02 hyundai coupe ) before getting round to fitting it, just trying to gather as much tips, etc on best posistion to fit the sensor heads, the particular model I have has two sensor heads.

so any recommendations on what just is the best place for giving the most effective use ?? would running the twin sensors flush along the leading bottom edge off the number plate okay ??

now have also heard that there is a very big importance in making sure the heads are level by use off a minature spirit level, anyone enlighten me as to just what is involved in this ??

do have a picture off the front off the coupe, if anyone would kind enough to put them up for me on here, could e-mail them to anyone willing to help me out, as it would probably help for others to see the exact car frontage layout so as to advise exact fitment area for these sensors.

any help, advice is as always very much appreciatted.

cheers,
john...

Thats the best place near the front plate

Snooper will tell you that their units should be on either side of the numberplate, at the same height as the plate itself.

Cheers guys, anyone any more pics off actual sensor set ups ??

are the heads to be exactly level ( spirit level - accuracy ?? )

cheers,
john..

Not got pics here, but basically the more accurate you can be the better your chance of them actually working.

I have the Blinder m10's on my car - the first set was tested at a rolling road day and the man was very impressed with the jamming ability of the unit. The replacement set I just received because of water damage has just been tested by Mr. Plod himself :D....very confused he looked too until I slowed down & switched them off ;)

These pics aren't very clear, but they are the closest I can find, the units are lined up with the bottom edge of the number plate, either side of the number plate - hope they help :D

Cheers for that mate, very useful indeed !!

you say water damage ?? been driving thru some D----eep puddles lately ???!!!

also due to the design off my bumper the plate itself is mounted onto the front bumper so putting them either side off the plate like your own is out off the question, would you think that the bottom leading edge off the plate would be okay for them ?? also any comments re. this alignment ( spirit level ) off the heads are concerned ??

thanks again mate,much appreciatted.

Just wonder if it is possible mate, if when you get a chance if you could give me an exact measurment that the sensors are fitted above ground level ?? now that I know that yours is "working" as it should !!! can base my methods around your set up !!

also are the heads flush with the front surface off the number plate ??

thanks again mate,
john...

water damage - depends which units u have, if you have the ones with the front screwed on, you could have a problem with water getting in - the customer services are very good tho & replaced both my sets (front & rear ;) )
As for alignment, I didn't measure mine to make sure they were flush & they work fine - they should be OK below the number plate. The heads on mine are flush with the grille on the car, so no not with the numberplate. However, I'm no expert & it is best to try & find someone to test that they work because you never know....
Where abouts are you, I may be able to sort out a test for you once you have fitted them.
Hope this helps :D
