Major Judder under Braking 2...!!!

Hi,

Dont know why my other post has vanished...:(

I was driving down my local dualy yesterday and was having a few probs with the brakes (my93 wrx)...

When i was braking hard entering a roundabout the car would loose 50%ish braking power and the car juddered really really bad, it kinda feels like warped brakes (which they are a little) but this was really intence juddering...

It does'nt do it if your going below 60ish and slam on, only when coming down from highish speeds, it also has a wheel wobble at around 70-90mph...:(

I have checked for dodgy wheel bearings, there ok, tyre's etc but it all seems fine...

Any ideas guys...could it be low pads...

Cheers in advance...

John.

yeah your brakes are warped a little bit, when you heat them up they warp even more??

I had a brake problem about 2 weeks ago ...hitting them hard, i was losing braking pressure. mine turned out to be a knackerd wheel bearing (front passengerside)

replaced the bearing, now is fine.

also check that the wheels nuts are tightened ......just in case

wheel wobble is usually poor wheel balance. Could also be wheel bearing, loose wheel nuts, de-formed alloy or uneven tyre wear.

Vibration under breaking is usually uneven pad deposits on the discs. Could also be warping, but that's not all that common. Takes a huge amount of heat to deform a decent disc. Only way to really tell is to have them measured.

Could also be something behind the discs causing them to run unevenly in the calipers.
