I Hate Polyphonic Ring Tones
 

Just got a new phone (Nokia 6610) and it's full of annoying polyphonic "tunes"!

How can I just a "ring ring" tone for it?

Please help me, at the moment all I've got is a sound like a frog croaking - that was the most annoying thing on the phone.

Quite why Nokia persist in this I don't know. Siemens maintain the old-style ringtones as well as polyphonic ones in their phones- polyphonic is not for everyone - the old style ones are a lot more shreekier & high-pitched, and hence are more attention-attracting.

There is a ring-ring tone available for the Nokia somewhere, but you'll have to search for it. Even then, it still isn't a great replacement.

You can't hear the polyphonic ones for sh*t when they are in your coat etc!!!

My Nokia 6100 has the standard ring-ring.
Its my ringtone as at least i can hear it.
