16in 4pot or 17in 4pot?
I'm looking to replace my front pads to DS2500. But I need to know about the size.
How do I find out if my MY99 UK turbo has 16in 4pot or 17in 4pot brake pads? Is it related to the alloy wheel size - which is std 205/50/16in? Any help would be very much appreciated, Cheers Kenny |

Not sure why the size of wheel is relevant ? - Has someone you're buying these from asked you ?

Cheers Puff.
Mark - yes scooby mania asked what size. i've gone for the 16in - at UKP128 inc vat & p&p for ds2500 thats a bargin in my view :-) |
Interesting - I can only assume that they're judging the disk size from the wheel size, - - Maybe they're trying to judge if its a P1 ?
Cheers anyhow - and it seems an OK price - Certainly happy with DS2500s on mine ! Mark |
P1s had the same 4-pots as MY99/00 unless they had a Prodrive Alcon upgrade
|
Then I'm completely confused as to why they should ask - Not that it matters, but its just odd.....
|
I think you probably not too far away with your original theory Mark.
I wonder if "16" to them means the standard Subaru four pot brakes, and "17" means the Brembos on the new-age STi's... |
But saying MY99 sort of counts that out maybe
But Mike normally knows his stuff |
Puff - its was Lee that asked the question not Mike
I don't know if that matters |
Could be the new YTS trainee ;)
