colour photo printers

I'm looking for a good quality colour A4 photo printer. I'd also like it to be able to print smaller prints. Any recommendations ?

Cheers

We've got an epson stylus photo (870 i think), and have found it to be superb. Have a feeling it's discontinued now though.

Get an Epson 950 pro printer

7 ink cartridges - each seperate inclusing a dark and light black for perfect tones, can print on CD Surfaces and has a built in photo roll cutter.

Is quite dear though.

Canon i965, can do A4, 5x7, 6x4 etc. and also does CDs. IIRC it will also print direct from any PictBridge/DirectPrint camera without needing a PC if that is your bag.

Only has six ink cartridges but the quality is excellent. The one thing the Canon i series do that the Epsons can't is speed. I just can't believe how fast they are.

My Canon i9100 does an A3 top quality print in under 3 minutes and A4 in around a minute. The i9100 is old technology compared to the i965 as well.

The i9100 is still up around the £350-400 mark, but I see that the previous model, the s9000 is available in PC World for £199. This is a similar printer but IIRC it cannot print borderless to A3+ only borderless to A3.

Read indepth reviews here: i9100 and s9000

Cheers

Ian
