Rear wash-wipe problem

Recently had the rear wash hose re-connected (as it never has been since I've owned the car). When I accelarate hard in any of the 1st 3 gears it now squirts water onto the back window which means me having to turn on the rear wiper every 5 mins or so.
Is this due to a dodgy squirter-tip? Anyone else had this problem?

I don't know if this is any help, but seein as noone else has thrown up a suggestion ...

When you say squirting water do you mean literally, or dribbling?

If you mean literally squirting, is it possible somehow that you've got the intercooler water spray connected up to it instead as this, when set to auto, squirts at high revs.

TSL noticed it on my WRX during a road test and fixed it in around five mins. I think he said it was a check valve???

That's interesting as my 94 WRX wagon rear wiper goes of on it's own.
It onlty tends to do it if I am going fast or over bumpy roads.

I not sure what it is , maybe the wiper motor is worn ???? so there is not much margin between of and on...

any ideas

Mark.
