Not sure if I should be posting this here, or in the section for brakes - but here goes...

I visited the nice people at Powerstation today to get the bump steer / wheel alignment deal that they do. All good so far. Trouble came when I'd paid up and was due to leave - I was reversing out of the drive to their workshop into the road - when I stopped and turned round in my seat to start driving off - I noticed the ABS warning light on my dash was on...

I stopped and went back in - and they quickly had the car back on the ramps again - and checked it over for about the next forty minutes - but could only nail it down to (they said) a faulty sensor connection for the driver's side front wheel...

I've rung my dealer, and am going to try to get this back under warranty - but has anyone else had a similar experience ?

On the plus side for the Powerstation gang - Rich said that if I had any hassle over this from my dealers, that he'd fork out to get the sensor replaced....

Shows how little dealers know, tyre wear will be less.

BTW hi Rich how r ya??
Got a few questions about the mapping of my car (remember, Silver MY93 WRX) nothing bad, just wanted to pick youre brains.

Not a chance - don't think they've heard of the internet - they certainly hadn't heard of Powerstation when I rang them up prior to coming to see you guys. I was ringing them to check on the validity of my warranty after having the mod done - and they said (after my description of what the work involved) that the only thing which *might* be affected, was wear on the tyres... So they can't really go back on that and say "oh yeah, and the brakes too" can they ?

I don't see how the bump steer mod can affect the ABS, unless the sensor got accidentally damaged during adjustments.

Nope - Listers aren't my dealer.
The cars with my dealer at the moment - they just rang to confirm what Rich told me on Friday - which is that it's the front driver's side sensor which has gone caput. They're replacing it for me tomorrow.
Bonza!
