Does the fitting of front strut brace require wheel re-alignment? I think there is some clearance between the holes of the tower and the screws of the strut. Is the clearance negligible against the wheels' geometry (chamber and toe-in)?

A good opportunity to change the geometry settings to the prodrive settings!

I had the bump steer mod done to my car by powerstation on friday.
I left them a new sparco strut brace in the car to fit before they did it. I dont think they had time to fit it and just did the bump steer, when asked them about fitting it myself and they said it was ok and would not affect the geometry.

Fitting a strut brace means releasing the strut retaining nuts. I guess if you are very careful not to rock the car the geometry should stay true.

But I was able to do it another way as on my car there's about 10mm of spare thread extending above the strut retaining nuts. So I simply fitted the brace over them and screwed it down with some nylock nuts.

It looks fine to me but I have to say that, because of the dog-leg shape dictated by the intercooler, I think it's the most useless £70 I've ever spent on my car. I certainly can't detect any performance difference but it looks nice in polished alloy!
