Autometer Oil Pressure gauge

A quick question, is this plug http://www.subaruwrxparts.com/photos/oilgallery.jpg, sold by WRX parts http://www.subaruwrxparts.com/gc8-interior.html, suitable for mounting the sender of a Autometer Oil Pressure gauge (Phantom, 5727) ?

If it is, where the heck does it fit ?

EDIT: linking directly to the pic doesn't seem to work. Anyway, it's down the page a bit, "Oil Gallery Plug"...

On the MY99/00 UK cars, then the "plug with the hex head" is under the Intercooler - like so:-

The thread size on the OE bung is M18x1.5

This bung is used for the Oil Temp senders. The Oil Pressure is taken from the existing one underneath the alternator. You can either remove the OE sender (I did) or use a t-piece and run both. The OE sender is installed in an adaptor already. The thread is 1/8 BSP.

I simply removed the OE one and screwed my sender straight into the existing adaptor.

To fit the Oil Temp sender, I need an adaptor (bought from Le Mans):-

So, questions are

1) What MY do you have? - that will determine what thread size is on the block
2) What thread size is the Autometer oil temp sender
3) are you fitting oil temp or oil pressure (or both)

Stefan

Edited to say that I have some pics and details from my own install on my website. Nicks does show the install for the Autometer sender though.

For my Autometer Oil Pressure Gauge, as Ozzy states, its under the alternator, but it isnt a bung, its actually the oil temp sender that lights up on the dash

I removed that, and along with some parts from Chiarks website (cant remember his url, prehaps Nick can post it for you if he reads this thread :)) which basically involved a couple of connectors, and a short length of braided hose, and some PTFE tape, connecting to the Oil Pressure Sender, which I have cable tied to my alternator bracket

The reason for this method, is that the Oil Pressure sender is too big to fit underneath

Chiarks website also has pictures, and fitting instructions

Thanks for the tips, guys.
The reason I thought I'd use this (or similar) "plug" is I know the Autometer sender can't fit without some kinda extension under the alternator, but maybe it's best to try and fit it there anyway.
I don't know the thread size of the Autometer sender, that's actually why I posted this question initially.
Oh yes, my car is a MY96.

According to Nick's site - Autometer Oil Temp Sender is "1/8 NPT leader tap thread".
I'm pretty sure the Oil Pressure is a 1/8 NPT.

You can check the Autometer manuals downloadable here

It wont be a 1/8 NPT on the engine block because it is japanese. They use BSP thread sizes.

I didn't say on the engine block. The bung under the IC is M18x1.5. The one under the alternator already has an adaptor for use with the OE pressure sender. No idea what the blck thread is.

According to the Autometer manuals, the threads for their senders are 1/8 BSP.

Ok here is the info from the Group Buy I did last year, and these are the bits I ordered

Got them from Think Auto (cost about 20 quid inc delivery)

10 cm of braided hose with 2 1/8 bsp male fittings on the ends then a 1/8 bsp female to 1/8 npt female
