I got a very odd look from a few people at Bentley when I replied to their question 'it's quite low, what suspension you got?' with;
Bridgestone Potenza Damper for Street. Comments ranged from rolling of the eyes to 'bridgestone make tyres, not suspension' Why do I think this is what's fitted to the car? well the reason is the four boxes in my garage with 'Bridgestone Potenza Damper for Street.' written on them and a pic of a suspension strut, plus a label with lots of Japanese writing on it, plus the boxes contain the original suspension struts for the car. so, am I wrong, is the writing on the boxes wrong, do andriods dream of electric sheep? |
I sent an email to Bridgestone about the suspension and here's the reply I got back:
Thank you for your message. Regarding the "Bridgestone Potenza Damper Street", it was made in the summer of 1996 by Bridgestone FVS Corporation in Japan, a subsidiary company of Bridgestone Corporation. Bridgestone FVS had sold the damper as a limted edition in 1996, therefore they do not have any stocks of the damper now. We would regret to say it but they are not able to help you in providing with the damper. We very much appreciate your understanding regarding this issue. We look forward to your continous support on our tires and other products. Very sincerely, Public Relations Bridgestone Corporation Tokyo, Japan So, I'm not mad, they did make the suspension. |
