300R STi Type UK

Can anyone shed some light on this model, seen a silver one yesterday on an 03 plate. Whats the power figures etc. Ive been out of the scooby scene for some time and not up to date with latest models etc.

think the 300R is a STI8 with PPP 18s and is just a marketing tactic.
