Just noticed that when I'm accelerating and go for a quick gear change and stab the cluch pedal down, I get this metallic grinding sound whilst the clutch pedal is travelling, it stops when the clutch is fully depressed. I wondered if it could be the clutch release bearing. The sound doesn't happen if I press the clutch at a normal speed or the car is stationary and its not related to the movement of the gear stick.
The car is a 18 month old Turbo thats done 21,000 miles. Its going for a service in a couple of weeks so it would be good to have some idea of what it could be. Cheers in advance for the help Lambo |
Its not the old brake pipes vibrating against the bulkhead chestnut is it. My MY99 developed a similar problem that is sorted by prising the 4 pipes running horizontally along the bulkhead above the master cylinder away from the metal and stuffing some wadding behind them.

Brendan, just had a look at the brake pipes and its not that, they are all firmly secured.
Any more ideas ? Lambo |
Noise still there and I'm sure its getting worse..
