More Xbox Problems
 

Ok, so after I asked for your advice , I managed to get it connected to "live" through my PC and my network hub. The problem I have now is that betwwen about every half an hour to an hour the "live" connection drops :( even though the adsl connection on the PC is still connected.

any ideas ??

I have a similar problem as I use ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) for Xbox live through a network card in the pc.

The connection usually fails when the wife uses the pc to surf or send email at the same time, so the cpu gets 100% loaded, outlook takes all the bandwidth and I then loose my xbox live link.

That why I've ordered a wireless adsl router modem so I miss out the pc all together.

I had exactly the same problem when I was using my old Actiontek router. I switched to a Linksys one (54g wireless) and haven't had a problem since :)

thanks guys, It looks like my network hub mite be the problem then, I'll see how it goes.Its been fine for the last hour or so. I dont really wanna be spending much more trying to set it up at the moment, its cost more to run than the scoob so far this month :)
