How easy are these to change on an MY99. Have not had a close look yet but any advice much appreciated.

Mika, any advice on how you go about doing it?

Here you go Alan, please bear in mind this is from memory on my MY98, which should be the same as yours.....
If doing the offside light, remove the airbox inlet pipe (one 10mm bolt I think) first. Remove connector block from rear of bulb by gently squeezing and pulling backwards. Gently prise off rubber boot around the rear of the headlight assembly, and remove. Squeeze together the spring clip that holds the bulb in the reflector to unlatch it, and rotate downwards out of the way. Pull bulb out. Insert new bulb the same way, being careful not too touch the glass, and ensuring the tabs around the bulb base match up with the slots in the reflector. Refit the spring clip, careful you don't apply too much pressure and dislodge the reflector from within the headlamp. It shouldn't be difficult. Refit the rubber boot, ensuring the word 'TOP' is uppermost, and that it has sealed around the base. Refit connector block. Refit air box inlet pipe if applicable. Jobs a good 'un. T |
