Anyone installed a downpipe at home ?

Contemplating on instaling (DIY) this myself but was just wondering how hard or easy this is and should there be anything I should be aware of before I go ahead and order the downpipe.

Classic shape 94 WRX with full Jasma exhaust (no downpipe).

hi
ive fitted and removed one to a my97 uk turbo and a p1, had one bolt seize on the my97, had to cut it off and buy a new one, removed the intercooler on both cars to fit, didnt bother to remove as once you have cut the heatshield it will come out with the intercooler in place, this was all done in a 8 x 16 garage with axle stands and a trolley jack, ive since bought a house with a pit, would be far easier

piece of cake

done two now - only problem you'll likely encounter is the seized bolt :o other than that it's pretty straight forward :)

I almost tried mine myself - got quoted £40 by a garage to do it for me so let them do it.

It took all day! They had to cut 3 bolts off.

Glad I didn't have a go.

Thats on a 95 with 22k miles on it.

I've done it once and it took an hour and half start to finish. I was lucky that all the nuts came off by hand once they were loose. Use loads of plus gas to free them up.
