Eibach + OE shock advise please
HI Folks
I recently posted a thread about trying to troubleshoot a clonking noise I get on full lock in reverse/forward and just want a bit of further advise for this. I jacked the car up yesterday to look for evidence of scratch/wear marks in the front nearside suspension area and spotted a section on the outside of the Eibach spring where paint worn away where it sits into the shock seat. With the car jacked up, I was able to wiggle the spring round clockwise/anticlockwise about inch or so in the shock seat. Is this correct for Eibachs ( as the spring is shorter ) or should their not be any play whatsoever? Would a worn shock absorber make this movement worse? - as the Eibachs have been on for a year now but i think the shocks are on their way out. Thanks in advance for any comments Cheers Richard |
Same as mine; the springs can move round a great deal when the suspension is fully extended!
