I have recently brought a MY96 Impreza Turbo, about 2 months ago.
I not sure if I have got used to the power, but it doesn't seem to catapult me like it did last month. I get a large high-pitched whistle at approx. 3500 rpms when in 5th gear, not sure if it is related in anyway. Its reels like a general loss of power through out the whole range. I have seen reports of the Dump Value being blocked by Oil, but don't have a clue to where to find the thing under the bonnet. Would really appreciate some advice. All The Best. Ian. Check the plastic 'Y' piece that runs from the turbo to the intercooler, these are common items to split.
Do you have a boost gauge fitted, if so what boost levels is it showing? Mike. |
Thanks for the response Mike.
I don't have a boost gauge, so I have no idea what the current boost levels are. Do you recomend getting a gauge, what one is best to fit. Cheers. Hi Mike,
I had a look around for the Y piece, but couldn't find it. Is this the big branch pipe that comes out the underneath of the Intercooler?. Cheers.
