I have put an upgradet oilpump from Roger Clarkin my car with the 2.5sti shortblock. But it is very strange.
I have a great problem.

When it is idling the pressure is 1.6 bar, normally is it 2. bar
When accelerating at 1000-3000 rpm it raise from 6 bar to over 10 bar. This is also with a warm car the oil is at that moment 90 degree.
And cruising at 2700 rpm 60miles it gaves 7 bar.??
I do not think this is good for the car.
Is there anyone who is driving with roger clarks upgradet oilpump? If so are these symptones the same?I have measured with the Defi gauge the sensor is put at the same spot as the stock oilpressure

let me know asap because i running in my 2.5 liter sti block.

Sounds quite high to me. We fitted one to an STi6 and it idles at about 2 bar, rising to about 9bar on full chat. Have you spoken to RCM?

Not yet to RCM, i had put the oilpressure yesterday. Maybe i tried to reach him today.(sunday??)

but 9 bar is high too, isn't it?

The "uprated" oil pump is in fact a modified oil pump but not designed to produce any more pressure.
Actual pressures depend on the viscosity of the oil, temperatue and engine tolerances. I have no experience of 2.5 litre engines but typically a 2.0 litre on 5W-30 oil, 80-90 centigrade will tick over at 2-3 bar and around 6-7 bar, 3000rpm upwards.
