Hi guys...

I've just found out that my gearbox is on the way out and i need to get it rebuilt fairly soon...

Has anyone ever had this done at thier local dealers or have any idea what sort of price it would cost to get sorted...

Reagards

email me your car spec, depends on the ratios. I might be able to help. Have a couple of gearboxes but broken casings. I can have the internals swapped.

Some garages etc would charge £100 plus vat for strip down & inspection & then advise as to what needs replacing.

I have seen varying prices from £250 (for upto 3 parts) to £650 for a complete rebuild

Cheers for the reply guys...

Would it be more productive to source a re-con box then have that fitted..

Gonna get a qoute for the work from the dealers tommorow...

Thanks.

John.
