-   -   HELP: 5th gear clutch "slip"??.... (https://www.scoobynet.com/drivetrain-11/29708-help-5th-gear-clutch-slip.html)

First: apologies if this type of query has been done before.
Noticed this morning that when in 5th gear @ say 3000 rpm and use full throttle to leisurely overtake without down-change, revs rise suddenly (after a sec or two) disproportional to speed increase. Thought I'd imagined this for a few days but it seems unfortunately to be true! OUCH! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif
Strange thing is that through the gears under full acceleration the phenomonon doesn't seem to manifest itself..(Acceleration is good) Also there is no clutch smell either when the slip happens. The last time I had this happen (in an MR2) it was followed by frying clutch smell.
Is there a problem?, whats the prognosis?, any advice please!

RAver Rob.
