seen some P1 dampers for sale and wondered what the difference was (if any) or is it just the springs that are different (or both:confused: )

cheers

Sti Version 5 dampers/custom (slightly softer) Prodrive springs.

IIRC the springs are Eibach springs selected by Prodrive after allegedly testing 22 different combinations of spring and damper before settling on the final spec as being the best compromise for UK road conditions.

The P1 is, I think, an inch lower at the front as well - fairly pronounced rake.

i've got eibach springs on uk MY99 std dampers, will i notice much of a difference with the P1 dampers? (if the springs are the same? or are they different ratings?)

cheers,

I'll see if it states poundage in the manual, but it probably wont - Mike Wood is your man.

Don't know personally but I think someone is selling similar here

And those that know seem to praise having the red suspension.

I too have seen P1 suspension available elsewhere.

are the eibachs (pro kit i think) supplied to the general public the same as the eibachs on the P1 kit?

if not i would guess they aren't properly 'matched' to the dampers? or won't the average driver notice?
