Anyone got one, not done all the reading yet but I was wondering whether I could surf at home with one, have broadband and a router (wired) so what would I need besides so I can surf in front of the telly ?

Also are they eay enough to attach a mobile to for email ?

In essence yes, but most web sites are not designed for their li'le screens and so are a pain to navigate.

You can get wired network cards for them, but by far the best advise is get a wireless AP to plug into your router and a wireless card for the PDA.

Mostly depends on the mobile phone, it would need to have an IR port and a standard interface as a mobile modem. Most of the modern Nokia's for example the 6100 provide this.

By the way, go for 1 of the Dell Axim's, they are as well spec'd but half the price. Oh, and they are fabbo for games :D

Many thanks for taking the time to provide that very helpful info, confirms what I was suspecting really, I will go and have a look at the Axim and see how that stacks up.

Thanks again !

you can attach to a mobile via bluetooth very easily.

Some ipaqs (and I believe Axims) have wifi built in.

Something like Thunderhawk makes the browsing a whole lot easier.
