My mate curbed his brand new AUDI tonight,:) bent the back wheel fcuking about, well sick now.

Someone told me that Audi made their alloys very soft to take all the damage from an impact - in an attempt to safeguard the expensive suspension.

Therefore dealers will replace any bent wheels FOC.

But I don't know how true this is?

Borrowed me dads nice new SWB Shogun commercial whilst he is on holiday.

Came home and dumped it on the (inclined) snow covered drive tonight.

Half an hour later, neighbor bangs on door to ask why the Shogun is in the middle of the road.

Bloody thing had slid all the way down the drive, neatly finding the impossibly tight gap between my Golf and a brick gatepost. How lucky??

last year i got caught in a snow storm on the french motorways - i thought they would be well organised for it but it was utter utter shambles. after about 6 hours we got to the cause of the delay - an adverse camber corner covered in black ice. oh how i PMSL as all the mercs and beemers slid down the camber and into the armco. i was driving a mate's outback legacy and we went round the corner like we were on rails :).

still, i was a bit hacked off when we got to the hotel at 3 am and they'd given our room away...
