Can I use a normal freeview box into a TV card? This seems cheaper than buying and all in one freeview TV card.

I'm thinking of getting a better freeview box for the TV and then using my current SLOW nokia thing I got with ON digital into the PC so I can record stuff from digital TV to my PC.

Anyone?

I've never seen a Freeview box, however a TV card accepts a standard RF aerial just as would a telly and can be tuned in as such, so if your Freeview box has RF out then yes.

Ihave an ancient Hauppage tv card and an aerial from the 'loft box' that provides sattelite and terrestial tv, also a magic eye whatsit so I can control the satellite, the aerial input is a bit knackered so the picture suffers a bit it it gets moved.

Problem is, my freeview box has a bu66ered aerial out. It's OK with my TV as I use the scart connection. Can I use some sort of scart to TV card cable??

Buy the Pinnacle PCTV Rave from Amazon for £30, it has RF, S-Video and Composite video in. You can run scart to the either the S-Video or Composite and audio into your sound card....
