My exhaust has just started blowing, its coming from the part just before the cat (not sure what it is but its more bulbous than the exhaust?). I was thinking is it worth getting a decat instead of replacing the standard part? What will the rough cost of this be?

Also, I thought the PPP included a decat centre section??

erm, if it's PPP'd then the entire exhaust should be stainless steel  (IIRC)

Get yourself to a dealer, or ring up Prodrive and confirm that the car had a PPP. If you've bought it used, then the previous owner made have removed the stainless bit and replaced with boggo standard exhaust....

HTH :)

just the centre and backbox are replace by the PPP on an MY00

And the centre section would be an STi one, looks the same as std catted one but the box is a resonator not a cat, it's not stainless.
